Kemer Antalya
Kemer is a a holiday resort carved from Turkeys pristine pine shaded Mediterranean coast 35km southwest of Antalya.
The principle at Kemer is easy as this: pick a favorable location seaside with little habitation and build a modern resort town of white concrete buildings. Kemer actually has nothing to offer like old buildings, narrow streets or ancient roman ruins but people still choose Kemer as #1 resort in Antalya for sunbathing and swimming.
The beaches of Kemer are mostly of large pebbles and stones, although the ones near the yacht marina are mostly sand. Make sure you visit Yoruk Parki (an anthropological park with a Turkish nomad theme) and drink a glass of ayran. Ayran is a mixture of yoghurt, water, and salt. It is thought to have originated as a way of preserving yogurt by adding salt.
Kemer can be a base for exploring nearby sites like Olympos, Phaselis, Termessos, Perge and Aspendos, but Antalya is more centrally located and, overall, has more to offer.
The most convenient way would be to rent a car and drive your own to nearby locations as day trips. You can also join one of the jeep safari tours. ATV ( QUAD Safari is an exciting adventure sport which is operated with 4 wheels motor-bikes. You ride Quad (ATV) motors through excellent natures, pine forests, muddy streams and have unforgettable exciting, enjoyful adventure rememberance.
