Antalya Beaches

Konyaalti Beach

Konyaalti Beach is located on the west side of Antalya, and accessible from the city center within 10 minutes driving distance. The beach is a long strand of pebbles and rough stand backed by park, some hotels, and residential areas. Its mostly occupied with locals because of closeness to the city.

To get Konyaalti, you shoul take the tram westward from Kalekapisi to the end of the line near the Antalya Museum and the Falez and Sheraton hotels, then you can walk downhill 10 minutes to reach Beach Park of Antalya.

Antalya Beach Park has snack stands, shade trees, restaurants, cafes and bars, showers and other services, as well as beach chairs and sun umbrellas for rent. There is also a large parking lot for visitors cars. There is numerous playgrounds for children and Aqualand which is Antalyas largest water park. They will particularly enjoy Dolphinland, where (for $10 per person) you can watch dolphins perform. For an extra $60, you can even swim with the dolphins.

If you go further west, away from the city and toward the Beydaglari mountains, there are still fewer services also sufficient ones in many places.

Lara Beach east of Antalya is a long beach of darkish sand and gentle waves. Unlike Konyaalti; this beach is mostly sandy.

Most parts of the beach are backed by commercial services offering sun umbrellas, beach chairs, snacks and drinks, showers and maybe some entertainment.

The beach begins east of Antalyas falez - cliffs, just past the Lower Duden Waterfall. Hotels, restaurants and other services host visitors who swim mostly from docks and platforms.

The real sand beach starts on the east side of that point and extends several kilometers from there. The first major installation is Lara Halk Plaji, with beach services organized by the city of Antalya. You can easily reach Lara Plaji from the center of Antalya by dolmus minibus. The minibuses run all the way along the beach and end at the public access area.
