Antalya International Airport

Antalya Airport

The International Airport of Antalya is a modern and big place, built to satisfy the needs of millions of passengers who travel to Turkeys Mediterranean beaches during summer season.

The Antalya Airport has one domestic terminal and two international terminals. Airline companies use Terminal I or Terminal II, and they will tell you which terminal will be used use so you can find your way back to it when it is time to fly back home. There are offices of different airline companies inside the airport, so if you are looking for a cheap flights back home check one of those.

The international terminals have currency exchange offices, but the rates of exchange are usually quite terrible and i will recommend you just to change a little of your money and for the rest check for an exchange office in the city center. This tip is also good for exchange offices in large hotels. The best rates are in the banks and currency exchange offices at the city center just north of Kalekapisi at the beginning of Kazim Ozalp (Sarampol) Street.

You can also use your bank card and an vending machine at the airport or in the city to get New Turkish Liras.

The airport is 10 km (6 miles) east of the city center. If you are coming with a group, you will probably be taken to your hotel by bus. Otherwise, if no one is coming to meet you, you can either take a Havas shuttle bus into the city, or a taxi to the city or perhaps elsewhere.

Other than the Havas buses, there is no public transport except taxis to and from Antalya Airport. Havas airport shuttle buses connect Antalya airports Domestic Terminal and the city center. The Havas bus stops at the Falez and Sheraton Voyager hotels, the stop for minibuses to Kemer, and the Antalya Otogar (intercity bus terminal) before ending its journey at the Turkish Airlines office in the city center (Selekler) not far from Kaleici. Tickets cost 9 YTL ~ 7$ for the 30-minute trip.
